There are sessions that are beautiful, and then there are sessions that feel like a dream. Lucy's spring senior session at the Dallas Arboretum was the latter. I have photographed at a lot of incredible locations across DFW, but there is something about the Arboretum in full spring bloom that is just completely magical. I left that morning feeling so grateful for this job.

Lucy has been a joy to work with all year long as part of the 2026 MHP Senior Model Team. She is warm, genuine, and absolutely beautiful in front of the camera — the kind of girl who makes every single frame look effortless. By the time we arrived at the Arboretum for her individual session, we already had such a great connection, and that comfort level comes through in every image in her gallery.
Why spring at the Dallas Arboretum is simply unmatched
If you have ever considered the Dallas Arboretum for your senior session, let me just tell you — spring is the time to do it. The gardens are absolutely alive with color. Tulips, azaleas, wisteria, and so much more in full, gorgeous bloom. The soft petals, the lush green backdrops, the warm spring light filtering through the trees — it all comes together in a way that is nearly impossible to replicate at any other time of year.
We made a strategic decision to arrive right when the Arboretum opened, and it made all the difference. The gardens were quiet, the light was soft and beautiful, and we had the most stunning spots almost entirely to ourselves. If you are planning a session here, I cannot recommend this tip enough — get there early. You will thank yourself later.

What made Lucy's session so special was how perfectly she complemented the environment around her. The blooms gave us the most stunning natural backdrops, and we moved through the gardens finding new pockets of color and texture at every turn. From soft, romantic florals to sweeping garden vistas, her gallery has an incredible range that truly captures the magic of spring in Dallas.
Every time I pulled up an image in editing, I just smiled. That is always the sign of a truly great session.
