Senior sessions with Mary Hickman Photography are about more than checking "senior photos" off your list.

When should I book my senior session?

The earlier, the better! I recommend booking your senior session several months in advance so you have the best selection of dates and plenty of time to plan. That said, seniors can absolutely book throughout the school year, and I photograph seniors year-round.

What season should I shoot my senior portraits?

There really isn't one “perfect” season for senior portraits. Summer, fall, winter, and spring all offer something different. The best time depends on your schedule, the look you want, and your graduation timeline. We'll find a time that works for you.

How many outfits can I bring?

Your outfit options depend on the package you choose. I encourage seniors to bring a variety of looks that show off different sides of their personality and style. I'll help you plan how to make the most of each outfit during your session.

Can I bring someone with me to my session?

Absolutely! Your session should be fun, and having a parent, sibling, or friend along can help you feel more comfortable. Just keep in mind that too many people can sometimes make it harder to stay focused, so I recommend keeping your crew small.

Do you photograph seniors year-round?

Yes! Senior portraits don't have to happen during one specific season. I photograph seniors throughout the year, and each season brings its own unique look and feel. If you have a particular vision for your photos, we'll find the right time to make it happen.

What happens after I book my session?

Once your session is booked, we'll schedule a design consultation to go over all the details of your shoot, including locations, outfit ideas, what to bring, and any personal touches you want to incorporate. We'll also discuss options for custom wall art, senior albums, and professional prints so you can start thinking about how you'd like to enjoy your photos after your session.
