The P Family - McKinney TX Family Photographer
November gifted us the kind of weather that makes outdoor sessions feel effortless—cool air, soft light, and all the fall energy that kids love. I’ve been photographing this family for years, and at this point we’ve created a little tradition of watching their boys grow up through photos. It’s one of my favorite parts of doing what I do.
Their sons are the same ages as my kids, and I actually taught their younger one back in preschool, so sessions with them never feel stiff or overly posed. They’re comfortable, they know the drill, and they always bring a bit of their personality with them—this year, that meant a soccer ball.
While we navigated poses for holiday cards and family frames, the boys took turns showing off tricks, juggling, and making each other laugh. Between goals and near misses, we caught the kind of candid moments that don’t have to be coached: big smiles, sibling rivalry, focused game faces, and parents soaking it all in from the sidelines.
Those are the images families reach for years later—the ones that remind them what a particular season of life felt like.
We wrapped up the shoot with a beautiful mix of classic family portraits and playful shots that tell a story only this family could tell. November sessions are always a little bit nostalgic, but this one hit in all the best ways: familiar faces, kids growing fast, and tradition captured frame by frame.
For anyone planning family photos in the North Texas area, fall is a beautiful time for outdoor sessions. I photograph families in Allen, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, Dallas, and surrounding areas, and I focus on creating a relaxed environment so your kids can interact naturally and be themselves. Whether your family loves sports, exploring, or just keeping things low-key, we can build a session that feels authentic to you.
