The M Family - McKinney TX Family Photographer
Annual family sessions have a way of marking time—kids grow taller, parents get better at relaxing in front of the camera, and the laughter feels even easier. This family is the perfect example of that rhythm.
I’ve been photographing the M family for years now, and it’s become one of my favorite fall traditions. Even more special? Our girls have been friends since preschool, so every time we meet up it’s equal parts session and reunion.
This year we chose Adriatica in McKinney, a location that always delivers. Between the stone buildings, the water, and the European architecture, it feels like you’ve been transported straight to the Mediterranean—without ever leaving North Texas. The warm walls and cobblestone pathways create such a clean, classic backdrop for family portraits.
Their daughter is now twelve and officially in the stage where she can switch effortlessly between “sweet kiddo” and “tiny model,” depending on what the camera is asking for. I love watching families settle into who they are—Dad making everyone laugh, Mom making sure the hair is just right, and their daughter rolling with both like a pro.
These are the kinds of sessions I could shoot all day: lighthearted, meaningful, and full of tiny moments that become the real favorites later. I already can’t wait for next year.
