Belt Promo - John Machado Academy - Allen TX


This past weekend was one for the books—my husband earned his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the John Machado Academy in Allen!

If you’ve ever known someone who trains in jiu jitsu, you know how much time, discipline, and perseverance it takes to climb the ranks. This promotion represents years of hard work, grit, and dedication on and off the mats. He’s trained through injuries, sore muscles, long days, and early mornings—and somehow still shows up with determination and humility every single time.


The belt ceremony was an inspiring moment to witness. Being surrounded by coaches, teammates, and fellow students—each one pushing one another to grow—reminded me why he’s stuck with it all these years. Jiu jitsu isn’t just about technique or competition; it’s about character, community, and mental strength. And this academy, under Master John Machado, has truly become a second home.


Watching him tie on that brown belt was more than just a milestone—it was a symbol of all the work he's put in when no one was watching. And now, it’s on to the next chapter. One step closer to black belt. One roll at a time.
