UNT Grad - Denton, TX
There’s something so special about getting to photograph someone you’ve known their whole life — and this session was definitely one of those moments for me.
I recently had the honor of capturing senior portraits for the son of a longtime friend, and I still can’t believe he’s graduating from the University of North Texas this May! It feels like just yesterday he was a little kid running around — and now here he is, about to take on the world with his degree in hand.
Even though he’s graduating from UNT, he actually never stepped foot on campus during his college years — a unique experience thanks to remote classes and pandemic life. So when we decided to do his senior portraits on campus, it was a first for all of us. Exploring UNT together made the session even more fun. We got to discover all the classic spots: the iconic Hurley Administration Building, the beautiful green spaces, and even a few hidden gems along the way.
Watching him take it all in for the first time — and getting to document this huge milestone — was such a cool full-circle moment. His easygoing attitude and genuine smiles made the session feel relaxed and natural (even if we had to pause a few times to double-check where exactly we were on the map!).
Graduating college is such a major accomplishment, whether you spend years walking the campus or complete the journey from afar. And getting to celebrate his hard work, perseverance, and bright future was truly an honor.
Congratulations, graduate! I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to see what amazing things you’ll do next.
