Class of 2026 - "Friendsgiving" Model Team Shoot - McKinney, TX Senior Photographer
Our 2026 Senior Model Team Friendsgiving at Erwin Park in McKinney was everything I hoped it would be — relaxed, fun, colorful, and full of genuine connection.
We started the afternoon with a cozy picnic setup nestled among the fall leaves. Before the group gathered around the blankets and snacks, each senior had her/his moment for individual portraits. The golden leaves, open fields, and soft autumn light created the perfect backdrop for each person to shine. They brought so much personality and confidence to their shots, and I loved seeing each of them settle into the session with ease.
Once we wrapped up individual photos, we shifted into the Friendsgiving celebration. The seniors circled up around the picnic spread — sparkling lemonade, cupcakes, cookies, meats and cheeses, crackers, fruit, and all the treats that make a fall picnic feel complete. That’s when the magic really unfolded.
I stepped back with my camera and watched them laugh, talk, share stories, and enjoy the moment together. Those candid shots — the unposed smiles, the quiet conversations, the bursts of laughter — captured exactly what this senior team is all about.
This program isn’t just about beautiful photos (though we definitely get those). It’s about creating a space where seniors can build friendships, make memories, and feel celebrated throughout their final year. Seeing these kids connect so naturally reminded me why I love hosting these events and why the senior team is one of my favorite parts of Mary Hickman Photography.
