Cole & Whitney - Engagement Shoot - Plano, TX
One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is watching couples relax and realize just how easy and fun it can be to be in front of the camera — and that’s exactly what happened during this shoot at Oak Point Nature Preserve!
When we first met up, these two told me they were “so awkward” and didn’t know what to do for photos. Let me tell you — they were anything but awkward. As we wandered through the beautiful trails, open fields, and gorgeous wooded areas of Oak Point, I got to capture some truly sweet moments between them.
They laughed together, stole little glances at each other, and completely forgot the camera was even there. It was the kind of natural, easy love that photographs so beautifully. The golden hour light coming through the trees just added to the magic.
Oak Point is one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions because it gives the perfect mix of cozy nature trails, wide-open skies, and quiet moments away from the crowds. It felt like we had the whole park to ourselves, and the peaceful setting helped them relax even more.
By the end of the session, they were posing like pros — but honestly, it was the in-between moments that told their story best: the little smiles, the way they held each other, and how they couldn’t stop laughing.
If you think you’ll be “awkward” in front of the camera, don’t worry — I’ve got you! Most of my couples say the same thing, and by the end of your session, you’ll be having so much fun you’ll forget we’re even taking pictures.
Getting married soon? I’d love to capture your story!
