Lauren & Opus - Allen TX Pet Photographer
Every once in a while, I get to photograph something that feels extra special—and this session definitely was. This sweet high schooler is part of her school’s FFA program, and through that she participates in the Canine Companion program, where students help train puppies to become service dogs when they’re older. Her current companion, Opus, is a lovable yellow lab with the sweetest personality.
She wanted to capture this season with Opus before he moves on to his next stage of training, and I’m so glad we did. We found a quiet little meadow that’s one of my favorite hidden spots—it’s wide open, peaceful, and especially beautiful in the fall. It also happens to be the perfect place for a playful pup to run and explore (and Opus took full advantage of that!).
I love when people incorporate something meaningful into their session—whether that’s a pet, a hobby, or something that represents an important part of their life. These photos with Opus not only celebrate her time in high school and her dedication to FFA, but also her kind heart and the impact she’s making through this incredible program.
And while I’m tempted to keep this meadow all to myself, sessions like this remind me why I love it so much—it’s natural, quiet, and the perfect backdrop for genuine connection.
