Senior Model Team - Vision Board Making - Lemon Drop Studios
This senior team shoot at Lemon Drop Studios was a fun mix of creativity and studio portraits, built around two simple themes: vision board making and Valentine’s Day.
We started the session with the kids putting together their own vision boards—cutting, pasting, and talking through ideas about what they’re excited for after high school. It’s always interesting to see what each senior gravitates toward, and it naturally creates a relaxed, comfortable environment before we even pick up the cameras. That time together makes a big difference in how natural everyone looks once we start shooting.
Lemon Drop Studios was a great fit for this session. The clean, bright space kept the focus on the seniors and their personalities, while still giving us plenty of variety for both the creative setups and the more classic portraits. After the vision boards, we shifted into a Valentine’s Day-inspired setup with simple props and a softer, fun color palette—nothing overdone, just enough to change the look and feel of the images.
What I love about these team shoots is that they’re not just about getting content for the year. They help everyone get more comfortable in front of the camera, build confidence, and connect with each other. That comfort always shows in the final images—more real expressions, better movement, and photos that actually feel like them.
Big thanks to Lemon Drop Studios for the space and to my senior team for making this such an easy, productive shoot. I’m really excited to share more from this session and from what we have planned for the rest of the year.
