These limited Christmas mini sessions will take place on November 28 and 29, with just four sessions available each morning.

There is something special about photographing families outdoors during the Christmas season. Instead of being limited to one backdrop, we can move through the area and create a little variety during your 20-minute session.

I'll guide you through simple poses and prompts that keep everyone moving and interacting, rather than expecting your family to stand still and smile at the camera the entire time.

That means we'll have a mix of:

Historic Downtown McKinney is one of those locations that works especially well during the holiday season. The architecture and storefronts provide plenty of visual interest, while the Christmas decorations add just the right amount of holiday atmosphere.

And because we're outside, your photos won't all have the same backdrop.

We'll use the surrounding downtown area to create a gallery with some variety while keeping the overall look cohesive.

What to Expect

These are 20-minute mini sessions, so we'll make the most of our time together.

I'll do the guiding for you. You don't need to know how to pose, and you definitely don't need to spend the session wondering what you're supposed to do with your hands.

I'll give you prompts and direction throughout the session while also looking for those in-between moments that happen naturally.

Each family will receive 15 edited digital images from their session.

What Should You Wear for Downtown Christmas Photos?


Since these are outdoor Christmas photos, you'll want to think about both the holiday setting and the fact that we'll be outside.

You don't have to dress everyone in matching Christmas outfits. Coordinating colors and textures usually creates a more natural-looking family portrait.

Some combinations that work beautifully for a downtown Christmas setting include:

Classic: Cream, tan, denim, brown and muted greens
