This year I am doing things a little differently. I’ve decided to use studio photography for my Winter sessions instead of outdoors. Texas weather can be so unpredictable, and last year I struggled fitting in my clients for outdoor Christmas sessions. This year I prepared!
I found a super cute studio for rent in the Historic Downtown McKinney area. And it just so happens they decorate the space in November for Christmas. Before I booked it, I decided to take my own two kiddos there for some sample photos. I brought some of my own Christmas decor to use to give a Winter vibe.
My kids were super hesitant about even going. They are 8 and 11 now and are not as eager to take photos on my command anymore. Well, at least the 11 year old is. My daughter could sit and model for me all day long. BUT, when we got there and they saw the place, they were both so excited! They immediately relaxed and started dancing around.
The studio is awesome! They have several backdrop options, furniture options, and plenty of space to move around. We put on some Christmas music and got right to work.
I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. We had some gorgeous natural light coming through the windows that gave just the perfect glow to my photos.
I’ve since advertised for my upcoming sessions and have almost completely booked up. The dates are November 21st, 27th, & 28th. I still have a few spots left if you are considering a session. Click here to book!
Below you will see some of photos from our studio photography session. I can’t wait to see how they all turn out in November! Also, goal for 2022 is DEFINITELY to own my own photography studio!
