About Mary

I have always loved to take pictures! In 1999, after the birth of my first child, my professional career was also birthed while experimenting with a new camera and a new “subject” to photograph. My eyes were opened to a whole new and exciting world. I awakened an undiscovered aspect of my creative side and my hobby became my career. Because the birth of my new career coincides with the birth of my first child, I have found that photographing children is my special gift and greatest joy. As a parent, I believe that it is important to capture the precious moments in a child’s life so they are not lost forever. Children change so fast. A portrait gives you the opportunity to preserve a moment in time and the chance to revisit that moment forever. I consider it an honor and a privilege to photograph other people’s children. I love interacting with the children, but most enjoy the parents’ reaction when they see their children come to life in the images I create.
